Jerry sponsored our band Floating Crowbar to play at two different Lady of the Lakes dance camps. That's where we first got to know Jerry, a wonderful human being and a man of real integrity. The last time we saw him was at a gig we played at Cheney library. I knew Jerry was ailing but he faced it with wide open eyes and true equanimity. Thank you for letting us know about Jerry's passing, Grant. He was a great guy and thanks to you for continuing his important work. Both of you write with eloquence, for the greater good, and with a foundation based on research and education.
Jerry was amazing and also my first financial supporter when I dared to venture into politics. In his last post I publicly stated that he reminded me so much of my dad, and to me, there is no higher praise. (I had told him this in person last year after a hug.) Hearing this news, I now know that he passed on my dad's birthday. I have lit a yahrzeit candle (a Jewish candle to remember those who have passed - specifically meant to burn for 24 hours) every year on 4/17 since my dad's sudden death in 2019. Now I will light a candle to remember both Jerry and my dad, and it seems deeply fitting. Hope they have somehow discovered each other, somewhere in the great beyond, and are now sharing stories, and laughing, and are beyond proud of the pebbles they threw and the ripples they made while living. They both lived life to its fullest.
May his memory be a blessing. (A traditional Jewish saying.)

I firmly believe that Jerry will now rest in peace on a very soft cloud of pebbles thrown wisely and with a deep caring for his wider community. I am so happy that you are continuing his legacy; the river is deep and wide, but can be bridged by enough of these pebbles, so thank you, Grant, for saying 'Yes'.
Grant, in my last brief conversation with Jerry a few months ago he specifically expressed his appreciation that you would carry on with this important communication for all of us and hoped I’d still be reading. Enthusiastically, yes. My sadness at Jerry’s passing is deep. He was unique and pragmatic about his own death - also expressed in our conversation. I respected him immensely and will remember him always.
Somehow I did not receive his last publication. I have a special Jerry LeClaire email folder and it is not there nor in my inbox or junk or trash. I don’t know how to search for it. Can you help? Thanks so much!

Grant, thank you for picking up Jerry's sword and shield, his unrelenting demand for the facts and the truth. You've been doing a great job and I know that will continue. I can see that's in your DNA. I look forward to reading your dark money expose on Tuesday. In so many ways, the concentration of wealth we have seen since the Reagan administration and the shift of great fortunes from the making of things to the making of money, is also the story of the corruption of our financial and political systems. The dark money lords, have been assiduously planning and working on this destruction of a competent government, using Heritage Foundation and Donor's Trust as their command bunkers. l hope your turning our attention to these true insurrectionists will wake us up to the challenges that await us even after we win the next two elections. God's speed in your work.
