Several of my readers pointed out that somehow the March for Our Lives protest today at the Clock Tower in Riverfront Park scheduled for noon (that I advertised in an email earlier this morning) is scheduled at precisely the same time as the beginning of the 30th Spokane Pride march and celebration. Pride gathers just south of the Clock Tower across the southern arm of the Spokane River near the Red Wagon (corner of Stevens and Spokane Falls Blvd).
I guess the more the merrier… Come on down!

P.S. At some point I hope to understand how these two events got scheduled at precisely the same time. My suspicion is that March for Our Lives was planned from the top down, while the Spokane Pride Parade is locally grown. If so, this is another lesson about grassroots organizing…
