Fed Up? Distracted? Time to Show Up
This Saturday come out and peacefully demonstrate your disapproval
Trump is first, last and always a showman. The more cornered he feels, the more he is losing his grip the more he will try to distract—and thereby dominate the news cycle. When his nasty breakup with Elon was catching fire last week and threatened to stymie Senate passage of his 1116 page Big, Bad Billionaire Bill (aka “One, Big Beautiful Bill Act”), he needed a distraction. He turned attention elsewhere by breaking precedent, the Constitution, and the law, sending the National Guard and active duty Marines to Los Angeles, to quell largely peaceful protests as he drummed up images and words of “rioting” and “insurrection”.
We stand to lose it all if we obey in advance. That’s why it’s important to show up this Saturday, June 14th for the “No Kings” protests planned across the country. There are a lot of things happening this weekend both in Spokane and nationwide—so much that it can be confusing—but don’t miss “No Kings” wherever you are. Here’s the link for information specifically for the Spokane event this Saturday, June 14, in Riverfront Park between 3 and 5PM:
Wherever you expect to be there is likely to be a reachable protest. Look for a protest (times of day may differ) on this map [zoom in for details on locations]:
or search by zip code [for example] here:
Bring your American flags. It is time to take back this symbol of our country from those who are clearly trying to dismantle our democratic republic and the rule of law on which it was founded.
“No Kings” is just one of many ongoing actions to protest the actions of the Trump regime. Locally, there is a handy up-to-date website listing the ongoing opportunities to get out with signs (or without) and meet good people. Here’s the link:

See you at the park.
Keep to the high ground,
