Join the Homelessness & Affordable Housing committee for a deeper dive into solutions for the unhoused and those needing affordable housing in greater Spokane. We will be joined by Spokane-area leaders who are working to address homelessness in our community.
NOTE: Governor Jay Inslee, who had been scheduled to speak about his policies, will not be able to attend. He will be at the funeral in Vancouver for Police Officer Donald Sahota.
Presenters include:
Documentarian Maurice Smith depicts life as lived by the unhoused in Spokane by putting humanity front and center. His films show the selfless advocacy of those working hard to serve those unsheltered and on the verge of homelessness. .
Judge Mary Logan of Spokane Community Court and City Attorney Francis Adewale will share the court's approach to helping clients break cycles of instability to successfully access the services needed to achieve healthful function.
Ben Stuckart , Executive Director, Spokane Low Income Housing Consortium will clarify what money has been spent and what’s still on the table to make targeted, meaningful progress toward housing justice.
There will be time for Q&A.
